Bolton C.H.A. Rambling club invite you to join them on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Saturday 5th May

A – RIVINGTON'S RUINS, FOLLIES AND ANTIQUITIES - Meet at Lever Park Gates, near Crown roundabout, Horwich BL6 7JU for 0am start. Buses 125, 126 and 575 from Bolton.  On street parking.  No toilets at start. No dogs. Rivington  Pike, Bungalow Grounds, Pigeon Tower, Hempshaws, Lead Mines Clough, Round Loaf, Pikestones and Rivington Castle. 11 miles. Steve Almond.

B – HOLLYMOUNT – Cars to Jumbles CP BL2 4JP for 10.30 start. Slack Lane, Affetside, Two Brooks, Hollymount, Top 'o' Quarlton, Pallet, Turton Bottoms. 9 miles. Gordon Hughes

C – FREDA'S WAY – Meet at Rivington Hall Drive BL6 7SB  for 10.30 start. Rivington Hall Barn, Freda's Way, High Bullough Reservoir, Dean Wood House, Anglezarke Embankment, The Street.. 6 miles. Linda Almond

Wednesday9th May

1) – HELMSHORE AND BEYOND – Meet in Hough lane, Harwood, behind Morrison's, Nr the health centre BL2 3 HQ at 9.45 for transport to Helmshore Textile Museum CP (opposite Musbury Fabrics) BB4 4NP, OR meet here instead, for 10.30 start. Hill End, Legs End, Rossendale Way, Bentley Moss, Cotes Farm, Burnt Hill, Hollingbank Farm. 8.5 miles. Alan Simkin

2) – ROGER WORTHINGTON'S GRAVE – Meet at Jumbles CP, BL2 4JP  for 10.30 start. Affetside, Two Brooks, Boardman's via Valley, Edgworth, Turton Bottoms. 8 miles. Gordon Hughes

3) – CUTACRE – No 582 bus from Bolton bus station to St Helens Road Methodist Church BL3 3TP. Park cars on Cuthbert Street/Cow Lane (bring bus passes). Cow Lane, Cutacre, Pretoria, Umberton Farm. 6.5/7 miles. Jackie Parkinson

Try them out first by just turning up at the meeting points which are all listed on the website  http://www.boltoncha.org.uk where you can also join the club .

Wednesday number ‘1’ and ‘2’ walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number ‘3’ walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.

Saturday ‘A’ walks are approximately 12 miles, ’B’ are approximately 9 miles and ‘C’ are approximately 6 miles
