The Town Mayor of Horwich Councillor Peter Wright helped the ladies of the Horwich Widows Group celebrate the group's 30th birthday at Horwich Community Centre with a special birthday cake showing the Horwich town crest.
If you’re interested in joining, they are holding an Open Afternoon on Wednesday September 26th at the Community Centre where you can go along and meet other members and see what the group does.
The Group hopes to broaden its appeal by changing its name to the Horwich Ladies’ Over 50s Club and meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 1.45 to 3.45pm.
Activities include regular speakers, trips out, quizzes, bingo, afternoon refreshments as well as a chance to socialise.
