Chris Green MP is spreading the news of a new “Excellence in School Food Award” being run by Members of Parliament.

The award recognises excellence in innovation, individual commitment and provides an opportunity for those working within school food and a chance for their hard work to be recognised.

Mr Green said: “The award provides a great opportunity for the hard work and dedication of those working in school food to be noticed.

“My Mum worked as a dinner lady, so I know just how much work goes into the job.

“I hope that some of the schools in our local area could be in with a chance of winning this fantastic award.”

To enter, schools should download their application form on the APPG Excellence in School Food Award website and then send their completed form to Chris Green MP via email at chris.green.mp@parliament.uk by 2 September 2018.

Forms can be found at: http://apse.org.uk/apse/index.cfm/news/articles/20181/the-appg-excellence-in-school-food-award-now-open-for-entries
