Bolton C.H.A. Rambling club invite you to join them on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Saturday 15th September – COACH TRIP – CONISTON. Meet at Bolton bus station (Stand G) BL2 1BE  for 8.30 start.

'A' – Copper Mines Valley, Levers Water, Swirl Hawes (650), Swirl How (800), Levers Hawes (700), Old Man (803), Slate Quarries, Coniston. Total Height Climbed approx 850/900m. Distance approx 10 miles. Garth Aspden

'B' – From the information centre, walk up to Far End, Yewdale, Shepards Bridge, Tilberthwaite.Horse Crag/Cottages/Coniston. 7.5 miles, height gain 400 metres. TBA

'C' – Tarn How Circular. Coniston, Hill Fell Plantation, Tarn Howes, Tarn Howes Cottage, Cumbria Way (subject to change). 5-7 miles. Margaret Goudge

Wednesday 19th September

1) – ROUND LOAF – Meet at Rivington Hall Drive BL6 7SB for 10.30 start. Rivington, Dean Brook, Alance Bridge, Lead Mines Clough, Round Loaf, White Coppice, Overflow Steps, Rivington.  8.5 miles. Sarah Ozanne

2) – WHITTLESTONE HEAD – Meet at Turton Tower BL7 0HG for 10.30 start. Clough House, Entwistle Reservoir, Edge Lane, Ramwells Farm, Whittlestone Head, Higher Aushaw, Wayoh Farm, Wayoh East, Chapeltown. 8 miles. Derek Jackson

3) – TURTON GOLF COURSE –  Meet in Hough Lane, behind Morrison's car park, Harwood bus to BL2 3 HQ for 10.30 start. Bradshaw Bottoms, Jumbles, Turton Tower, Golf Course, Last Drop, Ramwells Court, Grange Road, Bradshaw Cricket Ground, Morrisons  6.5 miles. TBA

Wednesday number ‘1’ and ‘2’ walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number ‘3’ walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.

Saturday ‘A’ walks are approximately 12 miles, ’B’ are approximately 9 miles and ‘C’ are approximately 6 miles.
