Westhoughton next on Bolton Boundary Walk

Join Bolton Ramblers as they continue to celebrate their 50th Anniversary by walking another section of the Bolton Boundary.

This Sunday, September 23rd, they will be meeting at Daisy Hill Station, Westhoughton, at 10am for a circular walk of 10 miles.

The walk will skirt around built-up areas in Westhoughton, Atherton, Little Hulton and Morris Green, following green paths across farmland, through woods and along a dismantled railway.

It crosses the Hulton Park Estate, the subject of a controversial planning application, and passes the poignant Pretoria Mining Disaster Monument and the large Cutacre Estate, currently undergoing reclamation.

The walk is free and there is no need to book.  Just turn up with suitably sturdy walking gear and butties.
