Chris Green MP has visited Blackrod Primary School to congratulate them on achieving the Artsmark Platinum Award.
The Artsmark Platinum Award celebrates Blackrod Primary School’s commitment to high quality arts and cultural education and recognises the school’s use of arts provisions to enrich schoolchildren’s curriculum.
The MP for Bolton West and Atherton has also congratulated the local school in the House of Commons on their Artsmark achievement and the Leader of the House of Commons Andrea Leadsom also echoed his celebration.
Mr Green said: “The arts curriculum plays an important role in the education of our schoolchildren and this was made clear during my visit to Blackrod Primary School, where I saw several classes engaging with their interesting art projects.
“It was great to hear about the fantastic work that staff, parents and children at the school have put in to achieve the prestigious Artsmark Platinum award.
“I once again congratulate everyone at the school for their fantastic achievement.”
