Ramblers heading to Ribblehead

19 Oct 2018 10:21

Bolton Ramblers travel by coach to North Yorkshire to walk from the magnificent viaduct at Ribblehead to Ingleton this Sunday, October 21st.

There will be 2 walks, one of 11.5 miles and one of 8.  The longer walk will make the classic ascent of Whernside, the highest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, with, if the weather is kind, superb views over the other two Peaks and the Yorkshire Dales.

It will then join the route of the shorter walk, crossing moors and limestone plateaus to Ingleton where there will be time for refreshments before boarding the coach back to Bolton.

The coach leaves Chequerbent on the A6 at 7.45am and Bolton (Lads & Girls Club on Spa Road) at 08.00am.  Seats cost £13.00.
