This year’s winning designs for the annual #GMP Christmas card competition were submitted by Nikki-Louise Smith aged 12 from #Bolton (who won the age category 10-14) and Nyesha Kapur aged 9 from Gorton (who won the age category aged nine and below).
This year’s brief was to design a Christmas card which showed communities working together to create a safe Greater Manchester this Christmas.
Nikki-Louise and Nyesha visited Greater Manchester Police Headquarters with their mothers to be personally thanked for their entries by Chief Constable Ian Hopkins.
Both winners are very creative outside of school and enjoy arts, crafts and singing. They also both love animals so are delighted with their prize of a VIP visit to Hough End to see the Mounted and Dog Units.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: “Yet again we had a great number of fantastic entries to the Christmas card competition.
“I was particularly impressed with Nikki-Louise and Nyesha’s entries because they perfectly encompassed the message of Greater Manchester Police and the community working together to create a safe place for everyone within a festive and fun design.
“It was a pleasure to meet them both and I am sure they will enjoy meeting our mounted unit and dogs.”
More than 80 entries of amazing artwork was received across two age categories resulting in a very hard decision to choose the winners.

Both winning drawings will be digitised and sent to partners, agencies and individuals who have supported GMP throughout the year.
