Local MP Chris Green kicked off apprenticeship week with a visit to local award-winning apprenticeship provider Alliance Learning.

The Horwich based apprenticeship provider currently trains around 600 apprentices and is one of the largest independent apprenticeship training providers in the North West. The provider also boasts fifty years’ experience in the training industry.

Mr Green said: “National Apprenticeship Week gives us all an opportunity to celebrate the positive impact that apprenticeships have on individuals, employers and the economy.

"During my visit to Alliance Learning, I spoke to current engineering apprentices who told me about how much they had learned since starting their apprenticeship.

“It was also great to discuss the benefits of apprenticeships and the opportunities they provide apprentices with Alliance’s new CEO Kelly Perkin.”

Following the visit, Alliance Learning’s CEO Kelly Perkin said: “I would like to thank Chris for attending Alliance Learning, to launch the opening of our Apprenticeship Week celebrations.

“Chris is a great ambassador for Apprenticeships, having employed his own apprentice who successfully achieved his level 2 and level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration.

“We appreciate his continued support to apprenticeships.”
