Local MP Chris Green has completed the London Marathon in 4 hours and 14 minutes, raising just under £1,500 for the North-West based Children’s Hospice Derian House.
Last month, the Bolton West and Atherton MP also completed the ‘To the Pike and Back Half Marathon’ in 2 hours 16 minutes in aid of Derian House.
This is the third time that the MP has ran the London Marathon, having raised over £1,000 for Fortalice last year.
Speaking after the Marathon, Mr Green said: “Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last few months and to everyone who has kindly donated.
“I’m delighted to announce that I have broken my £1,000 fundraising target, raising just under £1,500 for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
“During my recent visit, I saw first-hand the fantastic care and support Derian House provide for children, young people and their families and every penny raised will make a difference.”
