Bolton C.H.A. Rambling club invite you to come and join us on Wednesdays and Saturdays;

 

Saturday 25th May

 

'A' - RIVINGTON MOOR - Meet at Lever Park Gates, Horwich, near Crown Roundabout. BL6 7JU  Walk starts at 10am.  Buses 125, 126 and 575 from Bolton. Rivington, Sheepfold, Hempshaws, Lead Mines Clough, Yarrow Reservoir, Rivington Castle.11 miles.  Some rough moorland walking. Steve A

 

'B' - FISHERMANS' WALK - Meet in Lever Park Ave Horwich, near Crown Roundabout. BL6 7JU for 10.30 start. Dryfield Lane, Fishermans' Walk, Street Drive, Overflow Steps, Dean Brook, Rivington, Horwich.8 miles. Frank A

 

 'C' - SEVEN ACRES/LEVERHULME PARK - Walk starts at Oakenbottom Road, Off Bury Road BL2 6DG at 11.00. Seven Acres and Leverhulme Park.5-6 miles. Keith B

 

Wednesday 22nd May

 

1) HAWKSHAW AND AFFETSIDE - Meet at Hare and Hounds public house, Holcombe Brook and park on Lumb Car Road BL0 9RY for 10.30 start. Hollymount, Affetside, Hawkshaw, Holcombe Hey Fold, Redisher Wood. 8.5 miles.

 

2) STONE CIRCLE - Meet at Turton Tower BL7 0HG for 10.30 start. Stone Circle, Three Lowes, Wayoh West, Barlow Institute, Turton Bottoms, Jumbles.

8 miles.

 

3) BRADSHAW BOTTOMS - 507 Harwood bus to Morrisons, Harwood, or park in Hough Fold Way near the health centre. BL2 3HQ behind Morrisons, for 10.30 start.. Harwood Cricket Field, Bradshaw Bottoms, Jumbles Circuit, Riding Gate. 5 miles.

Wednesday number '1' and '2' walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number '3' walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.

 

Saturday 'A' walks are approximately 12 miles, 'B' are approximately 9 miles and 'C' are approximately 6 miles.
