Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Cllr Susan Baines, said:

“Local volunteers, coaches and mentors truly encapsulate the spirit of sport here in Bolton.

“I am sure everyone knows somebody who makes a valuable contribution to our sporting community and I would urge them to put their names forward for this special recognition.

“Sport and exercise play a valuable role in keeping us fit and healthy as well as teaching our young people the values of teamwork and perseverance.

“The awards night is always one of the highlights of the year as we come together to celebrate each other’s achievements.”
