Market Place in Bolton is excited to invite families to join them for a weekend of FREE intergalactic adventure as they explore the wonders of the universe in their first ever space spectacular!

The out-of-this-world event is set to take place from 11am - 4pm on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, when wannabe cosmonauts can enroll at the Astronaut Academy. They'll be assigned their astronaut ID and climb into an awesome space suit with helmet, before being put through their paces and having their interstellar skills and knowledge expanded and tested with a variety of games. They will play 'pass the planet'. Saturn ring hoopla and black hole bingo, plus enjoy a solar system search quiz, lost in space rocket riding and moon walk tests.

On completion of their rigorous training, the 'qualified' cosmonauts will be awarded a certificate of completion as well as some well-earned 'Magic Stars' or a 'Milky Way' as reward.

Wannabe spacemen and women of all ages (yes, including Mum and Dad!) can then don their space suits and pose for selfies with a range of props including inflatable planets and aliens, plus jump into the rocket ship cockpit, for the ultimate photo opportunity!

So, customers are invited to come and experience the wonders of the universe in our spectacular, fully immersive planetarium. It's guaranteed to be out-of-this-world fun!

Nikkia Wilson-Cook, Centre Manager, Market Place says: "We're so excited to be hosting this fun, free event for Bolton families. It's the first time we've run an event on this theme and we're sure it will be a big hit and ignite the little ones' imaginations and a fascination with space travel!
