Some of the country’s best-loved chefs will be showing off their culinary skills for free over the four days of this year’s amazing Bolton Food and Drink Festival.

The festival organised in association in Aldi takes place from August 23 to 26.

Demonstrations will take place on Friday and Saturday in Lifestyle Hall, Bolton Market on Ashburner Street, and in Market Place Shopping Centre, from Saturday to Monday.

TV favourite Aiden Byrne, who owns RestaurantMCR in Manchester, Masterchef winner Simon Wood, who runs WOOD Manchester, Masterchef finalist Geoff Warburton, and chef Robert Owen Brown will be among the culinary talent on display.

In the packed programme over the weekend, local chefs Nick Cullen, Mike Harrison, Jon Jones, Andrew George, Scott Bannon will also be cooking amazing dishes to get the crowd's tastebuds tingling.

Alain Job, who runs Nkono food stall at Bolton Market, and Dan from Westhoughton Market will be showing off their skills.

Foodie Ria Amber Tesia, social media star Jackie Heaton aka The Baking Nanna (@thebakingnanna1), and supper club host Maria Grieco will also be displaying their talents.

The regional chef demos will be free of charge. This is in addition to the ticketed demos by festival headliners James Martin, the Hairy Bikers, and Gregg Wallace.

Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr David Greenhalgh, said: “The number of talented chefs available for people to come and watch this weekend at Bolton Food and Drink Festival is absolutely incredible.

“As well as household names, we have some amazing regional chefs who produce the most delicious food and, to make things even better, their demonstrations will be absolutely free.”
