The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Hilary Fairclough is raising funds for her chosen charities with a special music show, at the Albert Halls, on Thursday, September 19th.

It’s a unique charity fundraising event that is full of live music and song, with performers donating their services free of charge, to raise even more money for good causes. The music includes songs from West End shows, modern classics and some timeless pieces. All of the performers have their very own unique talents and are at the very top of their field.

‘For one night only’, Cllr David Greenhalgh, Leader of Bolton council will be performing. In his younger life, David was a professional actor and singer performing in London’s West End. Sadly, at a young age he was diagnosed with kidney failure and, despite trying to continue in his chosen vocation, he found he had to give it up. However, his voice is still magnificent and will be performing at his best in the show.

The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Hilary Fairclough said: “Once again I have been offered the humbling opportunity to raise funds for my chosen charities and I hope people are able to support this wonderful event and the Mayoral charities that will benefit.

“I am very grateful that David has agreed to sing for us and absolutely delighted that Bolton’s newest Special Event Singer, Carolina Garcia Cox, is performing at the show and sponsoring the whole event which is so kind and generous of her.”

“I look forward to meeting all those who are able to attend this evening of live music and song and offer my heart-felt thanks to those who wish to donate directly to my charities, details of which are available from my office mayorsoffice@bolton.gov.uk .”

All of the talented performers have given their services free of charge so that every penny of the money raised will go to the Mayor’s Charities which are: Bolton Hospice, Fortalice, Bolton Dementia Support, Asian Elders, The Scout Trust Bibby’s Farm and the Renal Unit at The Royal Bolton Hospital. The event has also been kindly sponsored by Carolina Garcia Cox.

The event starts at 7.30pm in the Albert Halls, Bolton on Thursday, September 19th.

The venue will be set out cabaret style, with tables of eight or 10 plus a limited number of seating rows all on a first come basis.

Tickets are £12.50 per person at tables and £10 of £7.50 on the rows seats.
