Bolton Cancer Voices is looking to recruit more members ahead of their exciting ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert at the Victoria Hall in December.

The 40-strong, mixed voice Choir is open to anyone over eighteen years old, who has received a cancer diagnosis of any type at any time. There are no geographical restrictions, as long as people can get to Bolton for rehearsals on Monday evenings: membership is free; there’s no requirement to read music and no audition to worry about!

One of the country’s few dedicated Choirs for people living with and beyond cancer, not only does the Choir bring people together to share their passion for singing it offers an unusual and inspirational form of support for those going through treatment, moving forward following completion of treatment or living with cancer as a chronic condition.

Karen Elliott - Founder & Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: -

‘This is the perfect time for people to join: whether you’re a seasoned performer or simply enthusiastic to give singing a go, we’d love to hear from you.

We have lots to look forward to, including our fifth ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert on 7th December: when we’ll be joined by Besses Boys’ Band, The Cottontown Chorus and Dr Kevin Jones.

We’re a super, friendly bunch, so don’t be put off coming forward; you’ll be assured a warm welcome.’

Whilst a diagnosis of cancer is the criterion for membership the Choir refuse to be defined or restricted by the disease that brings them together: they stand united in song, never letting cancer stifle their dreams and aspirations.
