Christmas Classics with a Twist at Victoria Hall Bolton

On Saturday 14th December a 'Christmas Classics Concert with a twist' will be held at the Victoria Hall, Bolton commencing at 7pm featuring one of the World's leading trumpet players and leading Brass Band.

 

Mike Lovatt is the the lead trumpet with the BBC Big Band and John Wilson Orchestra and has also performed on a number of film sound tracks including James Bond, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Madagascar and many more. Foden's Band were crowned the National Champions of Great Britain at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 2018 and are one of the World's most successful bands on both the concert and contest stage.



In 2020 Foden's will represent Great Britain at the European Brass Band Championships in Palanga, Lithuania (due to winning the National Finals in 2018). All proceeds from  the concert will go towards the bands fund raising activities where they need to raise £20k to attend the competition.



At 5.30pm Mike will hold a masterclass at the venue where he will talk about his career, general playing tips as well as answering any questions. Entry to the class is via a ticket for the concert. Foden's are extremely proud of their youth outreach work and are offering free admission to under 16's to both the concert and class providing they are accompanied by an adult.

 

The concert will feature a number of Christmas Classics as well as featuring Mike who will showcase his fantastic talents!
