The MP for Bolton West & Atherton, Chris Green has backed local pubs taking part in the ‘The World's Biggest Pub Quiz' Charity fundraiser.
Between the 8-12th March, pubs across the UK will be raising funds for a variety of charities including this year's charity partner, Action Against Hunger.
Organised by PubAid, the first quiz took place in 2016 and is going from strength to strength. In 2019, more than 1,500 Pubs took part in the World's Biggest Pub Quiz, raising over £230,000 for good causes.
Speaking about the campaign, Chris said: "Pubs up and down the country play a vital role as central community hubs - they host a space for people to come together and routinely provide regular contributions to charitable causes.
"I am delighted to support local pub's this March as they take part in The World's Biggest Pub Quiz fundraising event.
"I am also encouraging local establishments who haven't yet registered to get involved and sign up in order to be a part of this fundraising campaign."
