ST JOSEPH'S RC High School in Horwich didn't let the coronavirus lockdown hit its plans to showcase what it can offer to potential new students and their parents.

The Chorley New Road School took to YouTube to deliver its open event, with headteacher Tony McCabe and the student leadership team giving an insight into life at the school.

And those who wanted to ask questions or find out more were then invited to join a Zoom meeting.
The school also had a special visitor as the new term got underway. Bolton Wanderers footballer Adam Senior caught up with the PE department and donated one of his shirts from last season.

Adam, pictured with members of the teaching staff, said: "My time in PE at St Joseph's was amazing the relationships and the support I received from the PE department set a precedence on my journey to stardom.
"The support in lessons and extra-curricular helped me to achieve my highest grade of all my results.

"My best memories from school involve PE but something I will always be grateful for is the dedication and chance to play and win the year 11 town cup for St Joseph's."
