‘In commemorations of Armistice Day, Rivington Pike will be illuminated with a Poppy on three sides facing Horwich, Chorley and Bolton in remembrance of all our fallen hero's.

Weather permitting, this beacon of commemorations will show our communities gratitude to all those who have served, past and present.

This gesture of commemorations has come about through the generosity of Horwich Town Council and Chorley Borough Council who have come together along with support from the Horwich Branch of The Royal British Legions Keith Whittingham and Ken Chaisty.

The Pike will be illuminated between 5.30pm and 8pm. For those that can't get out their will be a Live Stream on Facebook starting at 7.30pm on www.facebook.com/cdseventsuk

The Poppy Appeal has been decimated by Covid this year and we need your help more than ever. We would greatly appreciate any donations which can be given through our JustGiving page.
