Kind hearted councillor Peter Wright has set up an over 50's mini foodbank aimed to help people out during the pandemic. They are looking for anyone who would like to receive a free food parcel. This can be for yourself, a family member or neighbour who you may be concerned about (they will need the recipients concent before we can deliver any food parcel).
As this is a Home Delivery service by local volunteers, deliveries are limited to Horwich and Blackrod areas only.
Food parcels are available to people who do not receive a food parcel from anywhere else - you do not need to be on benefits to access this service.
Public donations of tinned goods are welcome. If there is any local shop in Horwich or Blackrod that could help by placing a food donation bin in their shop then please contact Peter on peter.wright1966@live.co.uk.
