Saturday 21st July

‘A’ - Meet at Aldi CP, Higher Bridge Street BL1 4HJ at 9.00. Walk starts from lay-by near Public House just before entrance to Sizergh Castle (LA8 8DZ) at 10.15. Nannypike Lane, Hawes Bridge, Bradley Field, Scout Scar, Wells Garth, Sizergh Castle. 12 miles Anne Cash

‘B’ - SPITLERS EDGE – Cars to side roads to the rear of the Belmont Bull Hotel, Belmont BL7 8AJ for 10.30 start. Hordern Stoops, Spitlers Edge, Great Hill, Piccadilly, Higher Pastures House, Belmont. 8 miles. Frank Atherton

C’ - SUMMERSEAT GARDEN CENTRE – Meet at the end of Lumb Carr Road, near the Hare and hounds pub. BL0 9RY (B6214), for 10.30 start. Chest Wheel, Burrs Country Park, Touch Road Farm, Nabb's Farm, Brooksbottom. 6.5 miles. Mary Jeffrey Turner

Wednesday 25th July

1) – WHALLEY ROUND – Meet at Springwood CP, Whalley BB7 9UE for 10.30 start. Golf Course, Bramley Farm, Wymenhouses, Wiswell. 8.5 miles. Jean Steel & Eileen Bradshaw.

2) – HOLLINGSHEAD HALL – Meet at Ryal Fold BB3 0PA for 10.30 start. Darwen Tower, Darwen Moor, Roddlesworth, Hollingshead Hall, Ryal Fold. 9 miles. Gill Chivers & Elaine Cross

3) - HOLLINGWORTH LAKE – Meet at Bolton Station BL2 1BE at 9.30 for 9.45 (check times with leader) train to Littleborough Station for 10.45 start. Bus passes required. Rochdale Canal. Ealees Valley, Golf Course, High House, Rakewood. 6.5 miles. David Bagguley

Wednesday number ‘1’ and ‘2’ walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number ‘3’ walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.

Saturday ‘A’ walks are approximately 12 miles, ’B’ are approximately 9 miles and ‘C’ are approximately 6 miles.
