Bolton Film Festival returns for its second edition from Tuesday, October 2nd until Thursday October 4th.
Festival patron Maxine Peake is opening the three-day event with her own short film directorial debut "Time Away".
She'll also be talking about her work as an actress, a writer and her recent transition to director before taking questions from the audience in a Q & A.
They will also be showing other short films in competition from film-makers working in drama, documentary, comedy and animation showcasing the some of the best films in competition at this year’s festival.
This year sees over 100 short films from home and abroad screened at the Light Cinema Bolton, The Albert Halls, Neo Art Gallery, Bolton Library & Museums and the Holiday Inn with a number of the screenings and events being free to the public.
