ITV’s Granada Reports WW1 Roadshow will be rolling up at Bury’s famous market from 9am on Wednesday October 17th.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, Granada Reports reporter Paul Crone, a camera crew and a team of historical experts will be on hand as part of a special show to be televised on Granada Reports.
The team wants anyone with photos and medals of relatives or loved ones who fought, died or survived from 1914 to 1918 to come down to the market with their mementos and stories.
Andrew Heyes, Bury Markets manager said:“We are delighted to welcome Granada Reports to the market and to support this road show.
“Bury has a great military tradition and this is a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise the contribution made by those who fought on our behalf a hundred years ago.
“And don’t worry if you haven’t got exact information, we will have specialists Sarah Stevenson and Phil Mather with us from the nearby Fusilier Museum to help solve any 100-year-old mysteries.”

Filming for the road show will take place in the open section of the market where special gazebos will be in place.
