Halloween wouldn’t be complete without the plumpest of pumpkins to take home and carve, and this October, Market Place, Bolton is giving customers the chance to pick one up completely free from their pumpkin patch.

In addition, customers will be able to enjoy a series of free activities over two Saturdays to get them in the spirit of the season.

On Saturday October 20th the centre is inviting families to bring their wannabe witches and wizards to make their very own wands, learn some wicked spells and how to ride a broomstick at the wizard academy. There will be prizes for the best broomstick riding technique and a School of Wizardry Graduation certificate at the end of their stay.

Then families are invited to return on Saturday 27th October to take their pick of 400 FREE pumpkins up for grabs at the pumpkin patch, with one per child available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so customers are encouraged to visit early to avoid disappointment.

The little ones can then hone their designs at the pumpkin designing station, ready to take home for the grown ups to work their magic on the real thing. Afterwards, they can head out on a pumpkin trail and enjoy treats at the end for taking part.

This activity builds on the centre’s retail offer which includes fancy dress and party shop, Luvyababes – where customers can get everything they need to create the perfect Halloween party – from face paints, to fancy dress, special effects and decorations. There is also a great selection of Halloween themed products available at the centre’s fashion stores – including New Look, Topshop, River Island, Next and H&M which stocks a great selection of children’s fancy dress costumes.

Customers can also enjoy the latest Halloween movie releases at the centre’s state of the art cinema, The Light. These include ‘Halloween’, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, family movie ‘Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween’ and ‘Bad Times At The El Royale’.

Nikki Wilson-Cook, Centre Manager, Market Place said: “Halloween is a seasonal event that has grown massively in popularity over recent years, so we’re really pleased to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to enjoy some FREE fun in the spirit of the season, that complements our shopping and leisure mix.”
