Saturday 12th January

‘A’ SEVEN ACRES COUNTRY PARK – Meet at Aldi CP, Higher Bridge Street BL1 4HJ at 9.45. Or go directly to walk start in Harwood at 10.00. Park on Hough Fold Way, behind Morrisons. BL2 3 HQ Seven Acres, Bradley Fold, Ainsworth, High Crompton, Affetside. 10 to 12 miles Anne Cash

‘B’ BURRS AND BEYOND – Park at end of Lumb Carr Road, near the Hare & Hounds public house, Holcombe Brook (BL0 9RY) for 10.30 start. Summerseat, Chest Wheel, Burrs Country Park, Walmersley, Falshaws Farm, Brooksbottom. 7 miles approx, moderate Margaret Padfield

‘C’ FREDA'S WAY – Meet at Rivington Hall Drive BL6 7SB for 10.30 start. Rivington Hall Barn, Freda's Way, High Bullough Reservoir, Dean Wood House, Anglezarke Embankment, The Street. 6 miles Linda Almond

1) CATTERNAB – Meet / park on the side streets to the rear of the Belmont Bull public house.BL7 8AJ Hoarstones, Hordern Stoops, Catternab, The Pike, Spring Reservoir, Belmont. 8.5 miles Gill Chivers & Elaine Cross

2) PIKE COTTAGE – meet at Georges Lane BL6 6RT for 10.30 start. Matchmoor Lane, Quarry East, Two Lads, Pike Cottage, Bungalow Grounds, Tigers Clough, Ormstons, Wilderswood. Y.M. 7.5 miles Julia Watmough

3) THE PLUNGE –Meet at Nuttall Park CP, Ramsbottom BL0 9LR for 10.30 start. Sheephey, Hollins Lane, The Plunge, Stubbins. 5 ½ miles Jeanette Hill

Wednesday number ‘1’ and ‘2’ walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number ‘3’ walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.

Saturday ‘A’ walks are approximately 12 miles, ’B’ are approximately 9 miles and ‘C’ are approximately 6 miles.
