Horwich residents visited Brazley Community Centre last week to share their view about a number of local, national, and international issues with local MP Chris Green.

Mr Green hosted his ‘Meet your MP’ event to give local people the opportunity to raise their concerns, as well as the ability to hold their MP to account.

During the meeting, residents raised concerns about the increase in local housebuilding, worries about the number of school places and the condition of local roads.

Following the meeting, Mr Green said: “It was great to meet some of my constituents during my latest Meet your MP event in Horwich.

“However, it was disappointing to once again hear Horwich residents’ legitimate concerns about the number of houses being built in their town, without the necessary plans for schools, roads and health and leisure facilities.

“Bolton’s Labour leadership continues to ignore local concerns. They have approved so much housebuilding in recent years, yet they have failed to deliver the infrastructure improvements that local people want to see.

“This is why so many people want a change of leadership at Bolton Council.”
