The parents and guardians of children at Beech House, Bolton School's Infant School, have once again shown themselves to be incredibly generous when thinking about other, less fortunate, children in the borough. Hundreds of toys and gifts, nearly all new, have been collected over the past few weeks and these were picked up today by a team of delighted Bolton Lions volunteers.

Babu Roye, one of several volunteers collecting the mountain of toys for children aged 0-18 years, said: "Each year we give more and more gifts out across the town and I am sure this year, the number will be higher still. We are immensely grateful to the parents from Bolton School and from others across the borough who show such generosity towards other families."

The Christmas children toys' appeal is run by Bolton Lions in conjunction with The Bolton News. Toys can be donated at a number of locations across the town and the campaign continues in earnest over the next few days
