Bolton Marathon is back after 30 years!

The iconic Bolton Marathon from the 1980s is back! Take part and enjoy a full weekend of running for the whole family.

The main marathon will be taking place on Sunday 17th May and is set to be one of the best road marathons in the UK! Even better, this is a not-for-profit event - all money generated will be going back to local clubs, charities and organisations in and around Bolton to help people get more active and have happier lives through the Bolton Marathon Community Trust Fund.

Bolton Marathon aims to battle single use plastics, and is looking to be the first single use plastic free road marathon in the UK! 

For an entry fee of £55, runners can expect:
A single lap route on Closed roads
Mix of urban and rural areas
Great views across Greater Manchester
True test of running ability
Amazing spectator support
Cut off 8 hours after the last person has crossed the start line
Water and nutrition provided at all feed stations
Free beer at the finish
Unique finishers t-shirt and medal
Zero single use plastic!
