Mayor enjoys Stroke Association Christmas party

Bolton West Stroke Association held their annual Christmas party for members and volunteers at Horwich Community Centre, Beaumont Road and an enjoyable time was had by all those attending.

An invitation was accepted by the Town Mayor of Horwich Councillor Jim Bullock and the Town Mayoress Mrs Dorothy Bullock.

Also attended along with Councillor Joyce Kellett, Leader of Horwich Town Council and Ward Councillor for Horwich North East, Councillor Ann Cunliffe Ward Councillor for Horwich and Blackrod and Horwich Town Councillor Peter Wright.

Rebecca Murray, Community Development and Partnership Officer at the Stroke Association said: “This very special anniversary event gave the group the opportunity to celebrate the difference they make every day to the lives of stroke survivors and their families.

“Voluntary led groups like Bolton West Stroke Group offer invaluable peer and social support.

“We really appreciate the important role of our clubs and groups and the vital work they do in their local communities”
