Friends of Adlington Library held a Harry Potter afternoon at the library which was buzzing with young Harry Potter fans - many in fancy dress.
They got involved with a treasure hunt around the library grounds, quizzes, art and wand making.
A large number of wands were made so there will be lots of magic in Adlington in the coming weeks.
There was Butter Beer to try, weird-flavoured jelly beans and chocolate frogs.
Everyone said what a great time they had.
There was also a great raffle with a Professor Snape Wand and a Gryffindor scarf as two of the prizes, these had been donated by Cllr Kim Snape.
Friends of Adlington library will be providing refreshments at the Craft Fair on September 16th in Adlington Community Centre from 12noon.
They will also be running a Tombola at the MacMillan Coffee morning at Cunliffe Hall Chorley on Friday September 29th from 10am.
There is a Coffee Morning every Saturday in Adlington Library where everyone is made very welcome.
