The Vocational Services Committee of the Rotary Club of Horwich, has announced the winners of this year’s Youth Achievement Awards.
This scheme is designed to foster the development of individual talent for young people, under the age of 19, who live or attend school in Horwich or Blackrod.
The scheme is not means tested and is concerned solely with identifying and developing individual talent in all forms of activity, regardless of family circumstances.
This year the scheme attracted over 50 quality applicants, who live, or go the school in, the Postal District of BL6.
They are pleased to make the following awards:-

SOPHIE ASHTON - Drama, ADAM ASHRAF – Badminton, GRACE BARON - Karate HOLLY CLARK – Trumpet Playing, EMMA COYLE –Dance, HELENA FLANAGAN –Netball, ANNALISA GILMORE – Gymnastics, NATASHA HOWARD – Synchronised Swimming, RHEA HOWARD – Synchronised Swimming, ELEANOR KAY – Swimming, JAMES KAY – Cornet Playing, LORCAN KNOWLES – Dinghy Sailing, JOSHUA NICHOLLS – Performing Arts, ADEBOLA OBASOTO – Tennis, GRACE O’KEEFE – Drama, ISAAC PARKER – Athletics, EVIE PENDLEBURY – Dance, ELLA SANDS – Taekwondo, SOPHIE WALTON – Athletics, MORGAN YARDLEY – Football.

A total of £5,000 has been allocated, under this scheme, to help these talented young people with their future development.
This money has been raised by members of the Rotary Club of Horwich, during the current Rotary Year.
