Bolton Ramblers are off to the Lakes

Bolton Ramblers are going on a coach ramble to the North-Eastern Lakeland Fells on Saturday, March 2nd. Three walks will be on offer, one of 11 miles, one of 8.5 and one of 5.
The longer walks start in Shap and pass the ruins of Shap Abbey before following the River Lowther north to the delightful village of Askham.  The longest walk then continues across Askham Moor with views over the Lakeland Fells and Ullswater, before descending to Pooley Bridge.  There will be time to take refreshments there before boarding the coach back to Bolton.
The coach will leave Chequerbent Roundabout on the A6, Westhoughton at 07.45 am and outside the Lads & Girls Club on Spa Road, Bolton at 08.00 am.  Seats cost £14.00pp.
