IAN Evatt is ready to lead the Bolton Wanderers ‘revolution’ as the club looks ahead to life in League Two.

The Wanderers head coach made a rallying call urging fans to get behind the club as his side continued preparing for the new season, which will get underway on with a home game against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday September 12.

He told the club’s official website: “We have worked hard over the summer to build a team that will be ready to challenge for promotion back to Sky Bet League One.

“Although it’s been a tough time for everybody during the pandemic, the excitement I’ve seen and heard from our supporters, who are so passionate about Bolton Wanderers, has been astonishing.

“Your support this season will be as crucial as ever as we rebuild Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

“The players know about the history of this great club and will wear the badge with pride every time they step onto the pitch.

“We would like you to Join ‘The Revolution’ and get behind the lads this season. We are one club, one community, one town.”

Wanderers chairman Sharon Brittan has also penned a message to supporters. She said: “The world is very much a different place to what it was prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Everybody’s day-to-day lives have been impacted in one way or another. While a return to ‘normality’ might be a long way off, society and businesses are all adapting to implement the changes needed to move forward.

“Here at Bolton Wanderers Football Club, we are no different. We have made no secret of the effects which have been felt from the pandemic. However, we have done everything we can to make sure this does not quell our ambitions on the field as we aim for promotion this season.”
