B IRWELL SCULPTURE TRAIL – Meet at Rock Hall Bottom car park, Moses gate country park BL4 7QS for 10.30 start. Nob End, Canal, Irwell Sculpture Trail, Clifton Country Park, Ringley. 9 miles Terry & Hazel Kirane

C BRADSHAW BOTTOMS – 507 bus to Bradshaw Church BL2 3EW where walk stars at 10.30. Cars may park on Morrisons CP. BL2 3HN Cricket Field, Bradshaw Bottoms, Jumbles Circuit, Riding Gate. 5 miles. Olive Magee

Wednesday 31st January

1) KNOWSLEY – 507 Harwood bus and cars to Morrisons CP, Harwood for 10.30 start. BL2 3HN Tottington Road, Asmus Farm, Old Holts, Knowsley, Gorsey Clough, Affetside, Morrisons CP. 8 miles. Frank Wall

2) HOLLYMOUNT – Cars to Jumbles CP BL2 4JP for 10.30 start. Slack Lane, Affetside, Two Brooks Valley, Holly Mount, Top 'o Quarlton, Pallet, Jumbles. 8 miles. Margaret Padfield

3) LEAD MINES CLOUGH – 125 Preston bus to Crown Hotel, Horwich. Meet at Lever Park Ave BL6 7JU at 10.10 for transport to (or meet at) Rivington Hall Drive BL6 7SB for 10.30 start. Saturday ‘A’ walks are approximately 12 miles, ’B’ are approximately 9 miles and ‘C’ are approximately 6 miles.

Wednesday number ‘1’ and ‘2’ walks are approx. 8-9 miles and of similar standard. Number ‘3’ walks are approximately 6 miles, are easier and at a slower pace. In some cases, post codes are nearest to start point.
