Bolton West MP Chris Green has confirmed that he raised £1,500 for women’s refuge Fortalice after running the London Marathon.

The MP completed the 26.2 mile race in aid of the local charity in April. It was the second time he had completed the London Marathon for a Bolton charity, having taken part in the 2017 race for Bolton Hospice.

Chris said: “I am delighted that we have been able to raise almost £1,500 for such an important cause.

“Fortalice do fantastic work in Bolton, helping some of the most vulnerable women and children in our community.

“Thank you again to everyone who was kind enough to donate.”
