On the afternoon of Sunday, January 12th, Bolton Ramblers will be walking through the beautifully restored Italian and Japanese Gardens at Rivington.  This is a 4 mile circular walk and everyone is welcome.

Meet at 2pm at the car park on Lever Park Avenue (on the left just after Rivington & Blackrod High School),  BL6 7RU.  If travelling by bus, take the 125 or 575/576 from Bolton Interchange to the Crown in Horwich, then walk down to Lever Park Avenue and along to the car park.

The walk follows Roynton Avenue up to the Gardens, visiting the restored Pigeon Tower, the viewing platforms on the summer houses, the great lawn and gardens and the extensive restoration of the paths around the ravine.

The walk is free and there is no need to book.  Just turn up with suitably sturdy walking gear.  For further information, phone 07815 076 797 or visit: www.boltonramblers.org.uk.
